Motivational Talk

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

On the 7th of March, 2011, the upper primary pupils of Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau were given a talk on motivation by Guidance Teacher Cikgu Mohamad Firdaus bin Haji Mohamad Aus, held at the ICT room.

The talk was to educate the pupils on the importance of motivation in their studies and their everyday life. In the talk, Cikgu Mohamad Firdaus showed pupils various motivational videos and talked about the different types of motivation; intrinsic (from within) and extrinsic (from others). The pupils were told that these types of motivation are what drives them and everybody else to do what they do on a day-to-day basis. Motivation is also an important factor in ensuring them gaining success in their lives.

It is hoped that from the talk, the pupils would be able to be self-motivated and not depend on external factors to motivate them, as motivation from within is far stronger than any other kind of motivation.
