The futsal team comprising of the boys from Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau made their school proud as they emerged champions in the Temburong Primary School Futsal Championship. The tournament was hosted by Sekolah Rendah Amo, and the matches were held at the Sekolah Rendah Sultan Hassan futsal court in Bangar.
This is the first time ever that Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau have emerged champions in this tournament in their 53-year history. Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau beat Sekolah Rendah Negalang to lift the trophy. The boys in blue and black of Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau, captained by Muhd Yasyri bin Jaman, won by penalties 2-1, as they held Sekolah Rendah Negalang to a 0-0 stalemate up til the final minute.
Jubilation was clearly seen on the players’ and their coach, Cikgu Ali Kasim’s faces as the captain lifted the trophy, as the players have trained hard nearly every morning prior to the tournament.
