Program Rakan Remaja Penerangan Roadshow

On the 23rd of November Jabatan Penerangan/  Information Department held a roadshow at the Dewan Belalong at Pekan Bangar. Primary schools in Temburong, including several pupils and teachers from Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau were invited to the event. From Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 went to the event, followed by Cikgu Firdaus on behalf of the headmistress, Cikgu Ahmad Waridi and Cikgu Michael.

There were various shows and performances during the roadshow, including a choir performance by pupils of Sekolah Rendah Sultan Hasan, a sketch performed by pupils of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College in Bandar Seri Begawan and comedy shorts by local actors. There was also a motivational talk held by a local motivator and various other informative talks.

Some pupils were also invited on stage to answer some quizzes, among them Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau’s own Norol Amal Hiza Yati bte Raimezul and Nurul Hafizah bte Wira. They were awarded with gifts for their participation.

The headmasters, headmistresses and those on behalf were also given souvenirs by the Information Department.

Class Level Promotion, Record Signing and Preparations for Hari Ibu Bapa Celebration

On the 27th of November, 2010, Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau held a “class level promotion”, which is where the pupils are moved to their classes for next year. The pupils from each class are taken to their new classes by their class teachers for next year. The small ceremony was held at the assembly area of the school and conducted by the Headmistress and the teachers.

On the same day, Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau also held a record signing event, where parents of the pupils meet up with the pupils’ respective class teachers and subject teachers and hear about how the pupils are doing the past semester. the record signing was held at the school’s library.

Other teachers and staff meanwhile were at the old school block which was turned into a makeshift hall to prepare for the upcoming Hari Ibu Bapa celebration. The hall will be used for the prize-giving ceremony and various performances by the pupils.
