Tahlil @ Labu Estate and Piasau-Piasau cemetery

Today our school held a tahlil ceremony at the cemeteries in Mukim Labu. We set off to the first one at 8am. Once we arrived there, we saw that some villagers of Kg. Labu Estate and also SR Labu Estate was already there. We helped tidy up the area beforehand, including raking the leaves and sweeping the walkway.

Mukim Labus’s very own imam, Imam Mokhtar, headed the ceremony with a recitation of the Surah Yasin and also the tahlil.

 

We then went to Kg. Piasau-Piasau cemetery around 9.30am. Again, tidied up the area before proceeding with the recital of Surah Yasin and tahlil. SRPP’09

 

PSR Quiz Competition

SR Puni, under the involvement of Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah Temburong, today held a PSR Quiz competition for all goverment and private schools in the district.

Some of the aims of this competition is to help pupils revise the subjects before the PSR examination in October. It is also hoped that self-esteem and confidence is instilled into the pupils as a result of this competition.

The competition is held in a written format where the pupils are asked to answer 60 questions, amongst the five PSR subjects, in the allocated time of one hour. The papers are then checked by pre-chosen teachers to determine the marks of each pupil. Our very own Cg Hj Junaidi bin Hj Abas is one of those teachers lucky enough to get picked.

As a rule, each school is allowed to name three pupils. Fakhrul Aizat bin Aliasan, Md Fazanil bin Wira and Md Ikwan bin Imbran – all Year 6 – got to represent SRPP.

The top two schools will then get the chance to represent Temburong in the PSR Quiz National level. SRPP’09
